It all started August 16, 2013. I was in Napa Valley, CA for my little sister's graduation from the Culinary Institute of America, when I insisted my Dad driving our Avis rented Suburban, stuffed full of nine grown adults to pull over. I had seen this road side grocery the night before on our way to dinner and it just stuck out a a place I must go. Everyone grumbled as I climbed out of the very back row of seats. I jumped out with uncontrollable enthusiasm and entered my muse.
The shelves were stocked with local goodies... The store had a coffee bar, a growler filling bar, soda coolers, multiple deli case, ice cream, wine and a robust dry goods section-I was hooked and my fire was ignited. I was going to create my own specialty food grocery store in my hometown. This is exactly what the Historical, downtown Gig Harbor community needs. I am convinced this is what I need to do. Make this dream a reality.
